Amber Kinetics, Inc. is looking for an experienced Assembly Technician to be responsible for hands-on manufacturing, assembly, and QC testing of flywheel energy storage products using defined standard operating procedures. Provide feedback too engineering regarding product manufacturability and manufacturing equipment and procedures. Our company is dedicated to creativity in our workplace as a growing business.



  • Build flywheel units and subassemblies on schedule in accordance with defined requirements in support of the production plan
  • Operate hand and power tools to complete assemblies
  • Be proficient at multiple assembly tasks while meeting requirements for workmanship, safety, and productivity
  • Review process documentation and drawings for accuracy and clarity
  • Suggest improvements to tooling, fixtures, methods, and documentation to complete assembly activities efficiently and at lowest cost
  • Ensure quality standards are met throughout all steps of the assembly process
  • Provide DFM feedback to engineering to reduce system cost and improve quality of flywheel systems. Assist Manufacturing Engineers in defining and improving processes with the same goals in mind.
  • Monitor availability of materials and at work cell to support assembly operations. Alert supervisor of shortages.
  • Contribute to implementation of safe work practices in the assembly area
  • Communicate effectively with Management and personnel across department
  • Attendance is an essential job function

Desired Experience and Skills

  • 3 Years industry experience working in mechanical and electromechanical assembly required
  • Ability to read and understand assembly instructions and documentation required
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Focused with attention to detail
  • Efficient and disciplined with time
